The HGU-XE48 is a 1U/2U 19-inch rack-mount pure sine wave inverter that bridges the 48 V DC battery world and the 220 V AC load world. Where conventional AC-input UPS units only protect against grid disturbances, the HGU-XE48 is purpose-built for sites where the primary energy source is already DC — telecom DC plants, off-grid PV battery banks, hybrid wind/solar systems and mobile DC platforms.
At the heart of the unit, a high-frequency SPWM control loop running on an industrial-grade CPU produces a clean sine wave with ≤3% THD on linear load, adaptive 50/60 Hz output, and voltage stability within ±15%. Q1. How is the HGU-XE48 different from a conventional online UPS?
The HGU-XE48 is a DC-to-AC inverter UPS, purpose-built for sites where the primary energy source is already 48 V DC (telecom plants, solar / wind battery banks, mobile platforms). It accepts a -48 V DC feed directly, converts it to clean 220 V pure sine wave, and adds a ≤5 ms static AC bypass for grid continuity — eliminating the AC rectifier stage of a conventional UPS and saving significant rack space. Yes. Static transfer time is ≤5 ms (typical <3 ms), well inside the ride-through window of IT equipment, telecom baseband units and industrial PLCs. Most sensitive loads will not register an event.
